I could listen to Hans Zimmer’s scores all day long,he is perhaps the 2nd best film composer of his time after John Williams. His score for “The Da Vinci Code” is rich, vibrant, emotionally powerful and spiritual. My favorite scene in the film is the last scene where his character,Robert Langdon, finally figures out where Mary, the mother of Jesus, has been buried.
This piece,Chevaliers de Sangreal, plays in the background as Langdon races to the spot. As he bows in reverence over Mary’s burial,we are all moved to tears as his quest and his faith has been restored.
Here is the musical piece as it sounds on the movie’s score.
And the scene where this piece is featured.
