I Sing – October Project – “This Is For You”

Its 12:58 am
dark/in a box

So yeah I am swimming among the big waves again but I’m not as surprised or shocked as I have been in the past. I have sat here for three hours and this is what is moved me to write….a great song by a wonderful band whom I have adored for years and years. I always had the October Project on my wishlist of bands I wanted to book in my music life but never got the chance.
But they are back and have been back for a few years now making beautiful and peaceful music once more. I may not ever book the band but I can share their music.

THIS IS FOR YOU (Julie Flanders/Emil Adler)

This is for nothing
This is for love
This is for what I am guilty of

This is for comfort
This is for pain
This is for something that feels the same
This is for what I recall
This is for nothing at all

This is for how I have hurt
This is for all I am worth

Maybe I will cry without feeling it
Maybe I will laugh till I ache
Maybe I will break
And maybe I won’t

This is for waiting
This is for doubt
This is for learning me inside out

This is for always
This is for now
This is forever the same somehow
This is for all the regrets
This is as good as it gets

This is for how we were true
Will you know this is for you

Maybe I will cry without feeling it
Maybe I will laugh till I ache
Maybe I will break
And maybe I won’t
