Have Cheetah,Will View #440 – “Run,Rabbit,Run” (2020)

Its 10:18 pm
dark/warm/cheetah is awake

With the Covid-19 pandemic shutting down film productions all over the country, what are working actors doing to keep their creative minds going? Well,if you are Erik-Anthony Russo and Mike Ferguson, you grab a camera, make the family an instant film crew and cut a fun slice of horror like “Run,Rabbit,Run”.
When an essential worker (Russo) is watching his favorite action series on company time and is turned on by the violence,a vengeful spirit (Ferguson) takes exception to the worker’s bloodlust and decides to show him what its really like to become the hunted…..

This short film is full of fun and thrills for a mere two and a half minute slice of when horror comes to life. Ferguson makes such an meancing spirit once again, his justification in making the worker i.e. the rabbit, suddenly become part of the action is neat turn.  Russo,as the worker, who is stuffing both his face with chips and his brain with violence is slowly being desensitized by what he is consuming, when he realizes he is become the hunted, suddenly its not so much fun and his panic speaks volumes….

Run,Rabbit,Run” was filmed and acted while safely observing California’s social distancing rules by Russo and Ferguson. No couches were harmed in the making of this film.  The cheetah and I of course loved this…….it was creative and DIY as hell.

    1. Mike is a solid actor,I’ve seen three of his films now and 3 episodes of “Death Squad”. All really good performances,I’m still waiting for a copy of a bad shark movie he did where he does a somersault off a boat,we had a good laugh at that.

  1. Eeeek. My worst nightmare come true–having someone in the TV or computer suddenly turn and address me. That was pretty good!

    1. I thought this was very effective, reminded me of a story called “The Wizard of Battle” in the anthology film “Nightmares”. A young man gets so into beating a video game,he becomes trapped in it forever.
